Bicep Circumference
Bicep circumference: Defining the silhouette on the arm. Especially with modern "Slim Fit" cuts, the bicep is decisive. It ensures that the shirt emphasizes the muscles without restricting movement.
- Position: Measure at the strongest part of the upper arm.
- Condition: Let the arm hang relaxed, do not flex or tense.
- Tip: Ensure sufficient "air" for wearing comfort.
Let your arm hang loosely at your side. Find the strongest point (usually in the middle of the upper arm) and guide the tape measure horizontally around it.
Important Note:
This guide is for determining your individual anatomical measurements (body measurements). These values are not identical to the measurements of a finished shirt, as a tailor adds a comfort allowance depending on the desired fit (e.g., Slim Fit or Comfort Fit).
Preparation:
Ideally, measure in light underwear or on bare skin. Stand relaxed and upright. A second person for support significantly increases accuracy.
